bargaining rights
Collective negotiation authority
Bargaining rights are the legal authority of a union to negotiate with an employer on behalf of workers.
Once a union wins bargaining rights—typically through an election—management must negotiate wages, benefits, and working conditions with union representatives rather than dealing with employees individually.
The workers voted to establish bargaining rights.
