derecognition
Revoking official acknowledgment
Derecognition is the withdrawal of official recognition, typically by a government, institution, or organization.
A state may derecognize another country's government after a coup.
More commonly, derecognition refers to an employer withdrawing recognition from a labor union, ending its status as the workers' bargaining representative: The company sought derecognition of the union after membership declined.
