backhouse
Outdoor toilet building
A backhouse is an outhouse—a small outdoor structure housing a toilet, common before indoor plumbing.
The term is old-fashioned and regional, found mainly in rural American speech: The backhouse stood fifty yards behind the main dwelling.
Backhouse can also mean any small building behind a larger one.
