award presentation
Honors bestowed publicly
An award presentation is a formal ceremony or segment of an event where prizes, honors, or recognition are given to recipients.
The term covers everything from brief acknowledgments at company meetings to elaborate televised galas: The award presentation ran long because every winner gave a speech.
It emphasizes the ceremonial act of bestowing rather than just the award itself.
