audiotrack
Sound file component
An audiotrack is the sound component of a video or multimedia file, distinct from the visual content.
Films and videos often contain multiple audiotracks—for different languages, commentary, or accessibility features: Switch to the French audiotrack.
In editing software, audiotracks appear as separate layers that can be mixed, muted, or adjusted independently.
Also spelled as two words: audio track.
