at-sign
Address symbol online
The at-sign (@) is the typographical symbol used primarily in email addresses to separate the user name from the domain: Send it to jane@example.com.
Before email made it ubiquitous, the symbol appeared mainly in commercial contexts to mean "at the rate of" in pricing: 3 widgets @ $5 each.
On social media platforms, the at-sign precedes usernames to tag or mention someone directly.
It is also called the at symbol or simply at.
