ashbin
Fireplace waste holder
An ashbin is a container for ashes, particularly from a fireplace or coal stove.
The term is primarily British; Americans would more likely say ash can or ash bucket.
The word sometimes extends to any garbage receptacle, though dustbin is more common for general rubbish.
