Organized opposition militarism
An antiwar movement is organized opposition to a particular war or to war generally.
Such movements typically emerge during or in anticipation of military conflicts, combining protests, demonstrations, and political pressure to end hostilities or prevent them from starting: The antiwar movement grew as casualties mounted.
The term often evokes the Vietnam-era protests of the 1960s and 70s.
