anachronisms
Things out-of-time
Anachronisms are things appearing outside their proper time period.
A wristwatch in a medieval film is an anachronism—an error placing something in the wrong era.
The word extends to anything outdated or obsolete: Typewriters have become anachronisms in modern offices.
Someone with old-fashioned views might be called an anachronism, suggesting they belong to an earlier age.
