address bar

Browser navigation strip

The address bar is the text field in a web browser where URLs appear and can be typed.

It shows the current page's web address and serves as the primary way to navigate directly to websites: Just paste the link in the address bar.

Modern address bars double as search boxes, accepting both URLs and search queries.
