Space Ghost
Phantom from stars
Space Ghost is a cartoon superhero who first appeared in a 1966 Hanna-Barbera animated series, fighting villains in outer space with his teenage sidekicks.
The character was revived in 1994 as the host of *Space Ghost Coast to Coast*, a surreal talk show that interviewed real celebrities and helped launch Adult Swim's absurdist comedy style.
Space Ghost interviewing Björk became a touchstone of ironic 1990s pop culture.
