Manhattan roommates series
Will and Grace is an American television sitcom that ran from 1998 to 2006, with a revival from 2017 to 2020, centered on the friendship between a gay lawyer and his straight female best friend.
The show was notable for bringing gay characters into mainstream network television: Will and Grace was on when I was growing up.
The title characters' names are sometimes invoked to describe a close platonic bond between a gay man and a straight woman.
