Homer and Marge
Springfield's married couple
Homer and Marge are the patriarch and matriarch of the Simpson family in the long-running animated television series *The Simpsons*.
Their names have become shorthand for a particular type of American married couple—the bumbling, beer-drinking husband and his patient, sensible wife: They're like Homer and Marge over there.
