Tourette's
Neurological tic disorder
Tourette's, short for Tourette syndrome or Tourette's syndrome, is a neurological disorder characterized by repetitive, involuntary movements and vocalizations called tics.
These can range from eye blinking and throat clearing to, in some cases, involuntary utterances of obscene words—though this symptom is less common than popular culture suggests.
The condition typically emerges in childhood and often moderates with age.
His Tourette's was well-managed with therapy.
