Thai massage
Stretching-based healing tradition
Thai massage is a style of bodywork originating in Thailand that combines acupressure, assisted stretching, and yoga-like positions.
Unlike Swedish massage, the recipient remains clothed and lies on a floor mat while the practitioner uses hands, knees, legs, and feet to manipulate the body: I booked a Thai massage and could barely walk afterward from all the stretching.
