masseuse
Spa staff member
A masseuse is a woman who gives massages professionally.
The term was standard for decades but has largely given way to the gender-neutral *massage therapist*, which also distances the profession from associations with sexual services.
The masculine form is masseur.
She worked as a masseuse at the spa.
