hot stone massage
Warm basalt bodywork
A hot stone massage is a massage therapy technique in which heated smooth stones are placed on the body and used as massage tools.
The warmth relaxes muscles and allows deeper pressure.
The stones are typically basalt, a volcanic rock that retains heat well: I booked a hot stone massage at the spa.
