Sat.

Weekend's first day

Sat is the past tense of sit, but it also serves as an abbreviation for the SAT, a standardized test widely used for college admissions in the United States.

The SAT originally stood for Scholastic Aptitude Test, later renamed Scholastic Assessment Test, though the acronym is now officially untethered from any phrase.

The test has undergone multiple revisions since its debut in 1926, including the removal of antonym questions and the addition of an essay section (later made optional).

It is scored on a scale of 400 to 1600, combining math and evidence-based reading and writing sections.
