Portobello
Edinburgh beach district
Portobello is a large, mature cremini mushroom with a broad, flat cap and meaty texture.
The cap can span several inches, making portobellos substantial enough to grill whole or use as a vegetarian burger substitute: grilled portobello caps with balsamic glaze.
Also spelled portabella or portabello.
