Portland cement
Gray binding powder
Portland cement is the powder that, when mixed with water, sand, and aggregate, forms concrete.
It's the most common type of cement used in construction worldwide.
The powder is calcium silicate made by heating limestone and clay in a kiln, then grinding the resulting clinite.
Named for its resemblance to Portland stone, a limestone quarried in England.
