Mouse

Cursor control device

A mouse is a small rodent with a pointed snout, rounded ears, and a long tail—the kind that scurries through walls or gets caught in traps.

In computing, a mouse is the handheld device you move across a surface to control a cursor: Click the left mouse button.

The plural for the animal is mice; for the device, either mice or mouses works.

As a verb, to mouse around is to browse or search tentatively: I was mousing around online when I found it.
