MacGruber
MacGruber is a comedic character originating as a Saturday Night Live sketch parodying the 1980s action series MacGyver.
Where MacGyver improvised ingenious solutions from everyday objects, MacGruber invariably fails, often with fatal results.
The character expanded into a 2010 film and later a television series.
By extension, to pull a MacGruber is to botch an improvised solution spectacularly.
