Lake of the Ozarks
Midwest vacation water
Lake of the Ozarks is a large reservoir in central Missouri, created in 1931 by damming the Osage River.
Its irregular shoreline, longer than California's coast, makes it a popular destination for boating, fishing, and lakeside tourism.
The area gained wider recognition from the television series *Ozark*: We rented a house at Lake of the Ozarks for the summer.
