Kevin Costner
Kevin Costner is an American actor and filmmaker who rose to prominence in the late 1980s and 1990s.
He starred in westerns and dramas including *Dances with Wolves*, which he also directed, *Field of Dreams*, *The Bodyguard*, and *Bull Durham*.
His name evokes a certain earnest, distinctly American leading-man quality: He's got that Kevin Costner energy—stoic, dependable, a little stiff.
