I-84
Cross-country freeway designation
I-84 is a designation for two separate interstate highways in the United States.
One runs from Pennsylvania through New York and into Massachusetts, passing through Scranton and Hartford.
The other stretches from Oregon through Idaho to Utah, connecting Portland to Salt Lake City.
Like all interstate numbers, the I- prefix distinguishes it from state and U.S. routes: Take I-84 east toward Hartford.
