radio propaganda
Transmitted political messaging
Radio propaganda is the use of radio broadcasts to spread biased or misleading information, typically by governments or political movements seeking to influence public opinion.
The medium proved especially powerful in the twentieth century, when radio reached mass audiences before television: Nazi radio propaganda saturated German airwaves, Voice of America countered Soviet radio propaganda during the Cold War.
The term emphasizes the manipulative intent behind the broadcasts rather than the technology itself.
