Herbal Essences is a brand of shampoo and hair care products, known since the 1970s for botanical-themed marketing and, in later advertising, suggestive depictions of shower pleasure.
The name has become somewhat generic for fruity-scented drugstore shampoos: The bathroom smelled like Herbal Essences.
