Eid prayers
Islamic holiday salat
Eid prayers are the congregational prayers performed on the two major Islamic holidays: Eid al-Fitr (marking the end of Ramadan) and Eid al-Adha (the Festival of Sacrifice).
Held outdoors or in mosques shortly after sunrise, they include a sermon and are followed by celebrations with family and community: We attended Eid prayers at the park this morning.
