Cincinnati
Ohio River metropolis
Cincinnati is the largest city in southwestern Ohio, situated on the Ohio River at the Kentucky border.
It developed as a major 19th-century meatpacking center, earning the nickname "Porkopolis." The city is known for its distinctive chili—a spiced meat sauce served over spaghetti or hot dogs: We stopped for Cincinnati chili on our way through town.
