Chinese schools
Asian language institutions
Chinese schools are educational institutions where instruction occurs primarily in Chinese (usually Mandarin or Cantonese), or schools that teach Chinese language and culture to students—often children of immigrant families—as a supplement to their regular education.
In the latter sense, Chinese schools typically meet on weekends: My parents sent me to Chinese school on Saturdays to learn to read and write.
