Canada Day
Northern national holiday
Canada Day is the Canadian national holiday on July 1st, commemorating the confederation of Canada in 1867.
It's marked by fireworks, parades, and public celebrations, roughly equivalent to Independence Day in the United States or Bastille Day in France: We're heading to Ottawa for Canada Day.
