Bat-Signal
Skyward hero beacon
The Bat-Signal is a searchlight projecting the Batman logo onto clouds, used in DC Comics to summon the superhero.
Figuratively, it means any urgent call for help from a specific person: I sent up the Bat-Signal to my tech guy when the server crashed.
The term implies someone with unique skills needed for a particular crisis.
