burner phone
Untraceable mobile device
A burner phone is a cheap, prepaid mobile phone meant to be discarded after limited use.
The term comes from drug trade and crime contexts, where disposable phones prevent surveillance and leave no traceable records.
Now used more broadly for any temporary phone: I got a burner phone for the trip so I wouldn't worry about losing my real one.
