Baskervilles
Hound's haunted household
Baskervilles appears almost exclusively in reference to *The Hound of the Baskervilles*, Arthur Conan Doyle's 1902 Sherlock Holmes novel featuring a spectral hound haunting an aristocratic family.
The name evokes gothic mystery and detective fiction: It had a real Hound of the Baskervilles atmosphere.
Baskerville is also a serif typeface designed in the 1750s.
