BBC World Service
Global radio network
The BBC World Service is the international broadcasting division of the British Broadcasting Corporation, transmitting news and programming in English and dozens of other languages via radio, television, and internet.
Founded in 1932, it reaches hundreds of millions worldwide and is funded by the British government rather than the domestic license fee: I listened to the BBC World Service on shortwave while traveling through remote areas.
