Angostura

Aromatic cocktail ingredient

Angostura is a town in Venezuela, now called Ciudad Bolívar, that gave its name to angostura bitters—a concentrated flavoring made from gentian and other botanicals, essential to classic cocktails like the Manhattan and Old Fashioned.

The bitters are no longer made there, but the name stuck.

Add a few dashes of Angostura. (Lowercase angostura typically refers to the bitters.)
