Adobe Flash
Defunct web animator
Adobe Flash was a multimedia platform for creating animations, interactive content, and video playback on the web.
From the late 1990s through the 2010s, Flash powered countless games, animated sites, and video players—YouTube originally required it.
Security vulnerabilities and the rise of mobile devices that refused to support it led to Flash's decline; Adobe discontinued it in 2020.
The old Flash games won't run anymore.
