Wetland golden bloom
Yellow iris is a flowering plant with sword-shaped leaves and bright yellow blooms, native to Europe and now widespread in wetlands across North America, where it's often considered invasive.
Also called yellow flag.
The term also refers to the colored part of the eye when it has a golden or amber hue: Her yellow irises caught the light.
