Clarinets and oboes
The woodwind section is the group of woodwind instruments in an orchestra or band, typically including flutes, oboes, clarinets, and bassoons.
In an orchestra, the woodwinds sit in the center, behind the strings.
The term also refers collectively to the musicians who play these instruments: The woodwind section needs to come in softer at measure twelve.
