wood lot

Small forest parcel

A wood lot is a small area of forest, typically on a farm or rural property, maintained as a source of firewood, timber, or lumber.

Unlike commercial forestland, a wood lot is usually just a few acres and managed for household use: We get our winter firewood from the wood lot behind the barn.
