wingwalkers

Airborne stunt performers

Wingwalkers are performers who walk, stand, or do acrobatics on the wings of an airplane during flight.

The practice emerged in barnstorming shows of the 1920s and continues today at airshows: The wingwalker waved to the crowd as the biplane banked overhead.

By extension, anyone who takes spectacular physical risks for an audience.
