whizbangs

Flashy skilled people

Whizbangs are things that move fast and make impressive noise or spectacle.

The word originated as World War I soldiers' slang for a small, high-velocity shell that arrived almost simultaneously with the sound of its approach—you heard the whiz and bang together.

Now it describes anything flashy or attention-grabbing: The presentation was full of technological whizbangs.
