weather anchor
Forecaster on television
A weather anchor is the on-air personality who presents weather forecasts during television news broadcasts.
Unlike meteorologists, who have formal training in atmospheric science, weather anchors may simply read forecasts prepared by others—though the terms are often used interchangeably: She started as a weather anchor before becoming the evening news host.
