Droplets flying outward
A water splash is a shallow ford where a road crosses a stream, allowing vehicles to drive through the water rather than over a bridge.
Common in rural Britain and other areas where low-traffic roads meet small watercourses: The lane ends at a water splash that floods after heavy rain.
Also refers more generally to any instance of water being displaced in droplets, as when something hits the surface.
