bullet time
Frozen action moment
Bullet time is a visual effect in which action appears to slow dramatically while the camera moves at normal speed, allowing viewers to see fast events—especially bullets in flight—from multiple angles.
The technique, pioneered in *The Matrix* (1999), combines slow motion with sweeping camera movement.
In video games, bullet time refers to a gameplay mechanic that slows combat: I activated bullet time to dodge the incoming fire.
