visual display
What eyes perceive
A visual display is any screen, monitor, or device that presents information in visible form.
The term appears in technical contexts—visual display unit (VDU) was the standard British term for computer monitors through the 1990s.
More broadly, it covers anything designed to show information visually: dashboards, digital signs, electronic scoreboards.
