vermiform
Shaped like worms
Vermiform means worm-shaped—long, thin, and cylindrical.
The word appears almost exclusively in anatomy: the vermiform appendix is the narrow tube attached to the large intestine.
Outside medical contexts, vermiform occasionally describes anything with a wormlike form: vermiform larvae, vermiform roots.
