squirmy
Can't sit still
Squirmy describes restless, wriggling movement—the kind of fidgeting that comes from discomfort, impatience, or an inability to sit still.
Children are often squirmy during long car rides or boring events.
The word can also characterize situations that make someone feel awkward or uneasy: The interview got squirmy when they asked about my gap year.
Something squirmy might literally writhe, like a bucket of bait worms, or just make you want to look away.
