uniparental

From one parent

Uniparental describes inheritance or origin from a single parent rather than both.

In genetics, uniparental disomy occurs when a child inherits both copies of a chromosome from one parent and none from the other.

Uniparental inheritance also describes traits passed exclusively through maternal or paternal lines: Mitochondrial DNA follows uniparental inheritance through the mother.
