undersampled
Inadequately collected data
Undersampled describes data or a population that hasn't been measured or represented frequently enough to yield accurate results.
In statistics, an undersampled group is too small relative to its actual proportion: Rural communities are chronically undersampled in national polls.
In digital audio or imaging, undersampling captures too few data points, causing distortion or artifacts.
